2018 is almost over! If you’re looking to see out the year in style, enjoy some family fun or have some end of year laughs, there are plenty of Novato entertainment dates to add to your calendar.
For family friendly fun, don’t miss out on Novato’s Annual Bouncy Ball New Year at noon on December 31st. Hosted by our friends at Downtown Novato Business Association, Bouncy Ball New Year pours 19,000 colorful bouncy balls onto the corner of Machin Ave and Sweetser Ave. All kids receive a complimentary “hard hat” and can keep as many bouncy balls as they can get their hands on!
On the comedy front, Trek Winery hosts their final comedy show of the year featuring headliner Stephen B and special guest Jason Love. Tickets for the 8PM show are almost sold out so don’t wait!
When New Year’s Eve rolls around, head over to HopMonk where Con Brio offers a multi-genre mashup of soul, psych-rock and R&B, with a frontman who delivers “the dance moves, splits and all, of James Brown” (KQED).
Elsewhere in Novato, there’s a no-cover-charge Dinner and Dance Party at Hilltop 1892. In Downtown, you can grab a bite and celebrate New Years in the Irish bar ambience of Finnegan’s or catch some live music from Chime Travelers and Blind Date at Trek Winery, where the party starts at seven and the wine list is always worth a look.
On the first day of 2019, treat yourself to a celebratory brunch. In Downtown Novato, Grazie’s boasts an unbeatable menu, complete with crab cake and smoked salmon benedicts. Brunch at Hilltop 1892 begins at 11am and includes brioche french toast, homemade scones and more.
However you plan on celebrating the New Year, your local Novato businesses have you covered. Happy New Year, and keep shopping local!
