Voted “Best Breakfast in Novato” by various North Bay press outlets, Marvin’s Restaurant in the Old Town area is a gastronomic institution. Since 1976 it has fused old-fashioned breakfast with an attitude and big-boy portions. The small diner specializes in pancakes, corned beef hash, crêpes and endlessly customizable omelets. All of it is cooked right in front of hungry patrons who sit at the breakfast nook, right next to the busy cooks like owner Chuck Drefs. The clientle is mostly homegrown Novato folks. This is a very popular choice for weekend brunch, so expect a short wait at this charming Grant Avenue diner.
