North Bay Jiu Jitsu Instructor Tryfon began his training in 2000 and decided then to be a career martial artist. His wish is to share his passion with his community, and show his students how healthy and rewarding it is to practice jiu jitsu. Tryfon has been a full time martial arts instructor and competitor since 2003 and has taught hundreds of students of all ages.
Tryfon is a husband and proud father of two. He is a black belt in Gracie Jiu Jitsu under 4th degree black belt Professor Eduardo Rocha of Gracie Jiu Jitsu Oakland, a 3rd degree black belt in Freestyle MMA under Sensei Mike Valentine of Practical Martial Arts, and is certified in F.A.S.T. ( Fear Adrenaline Stress Training) defense Under Bill Kipp. Tryfon regularly tests his skills in competition in order to improve as a martial artist, honor his teachers, and provide the best instruction for his students.
