Sustainable artist Liz Clausen shares her passion for interior design and architecture with handmade pieces available for purchase. She has been creating functional art for years. Liz started building at a young age in her father’s cabinet shop. With a background in environmentalism and sustainability, and BFA in Interior Design and Architecture from The Academy of Art University. She is currently in the process of attaining her contractor’s license.
Liz created Pick Your Seat to share her passion and her works. Paint, wood, and salvaged materials are the heart of many of her designs. Her style has been described as “a harmony of color and nature, soothing and organic.” These handmade pieces are available at pickyourseatnow.com.
Since opening Pick Your Seat in 2004, Liz has developed many great relationships and industry partners in tile, drywall, painting, electrical and more. Recently, she has partnered with trade professionals, Bob Clausen of Cabinets Marin and Mitch Nilsen of P&M Builders, and is now able to offer a complete design and build package!
