DNI GROUP was founded in San Francisco in 1995 as a seafood sales and marketing firm specializing in Japanese seafood. After cooperating on several successful ventures, DNI Group and Inabata America Corporation created a joint venture in 2003 renaming the company DNI Group, LLC. DNI Group, LLC leverages the sales and marketing strength of DNI Group with the global resources of Inabata America Corporation.
The combination of these two companies draws together over 100 years in business, 30 years in the United States, and over 12 overseas offices. Inabata America and its parent company Inabata and Company, Ltd. provide extensive international trading experience and a global network of offices engaged in seafood procurement and quality assurance oversight. In addition, Inabata America Corporation provides financial support and stability for the continued expansion of DNI Group, LLC.
DNI Group, LLC began in the seafood business and continues to be an innovator in value added Japanese seafood products. Shrimp (Sushi Ebi, Nobashi Ebi, Tempura Shrimp), Soft Shell Crab, Sashimi Grade Atlantic Salmon, Unagi, and Yellowfin Tuna are some of the core products under the CRANE BAY®, MANEKI® and TEZUKURI™ brands.
In addition to our seafood products, DNI Group, LLC provides a line of authentic, Japanese inspired appetizers under the PASSPORT CUISINE® brand. PASSPORT CUISINE® is our brand of Japanese appetizers made with the integrity of traditional recipes. The main offerings are a variety of Gyoza, Shumai, and Harumaki.
