Get a Scoop of Celine’s Sweets this National Ice Cream Day

Summer is in full swing, and what better way to stay cool than indulging in your favorite frozen treat this Sunday, July 18, in honor of National Cream Day!

This day is celebrated every July thanks to President Ronald Reagan, who designated it so back in 1984, according to the International Dairy Foods Association. Famous for his enjoyment of sweet treats like jelly beans, Reagan wanted to commemorate the frozen treat enjoyed by over 90% of the U.S. population.

In honor of this day, we wanted to show some love to one of Novato’s beloved sweet shops, Celine’s Sweets. Located on Grant Avenue, this shop is known for its old-fashioned candy store appeal and huge selection of sensational sweets, from the familiar to ones you won’t easily find elsewhere. As ice cream aficionados know, Celine’s also has an ice cream case with over 16 flavors of ice cream and sorbet.

Whether you’re into creamy french vanilla ice cream, salted caramel, classic sundaes, shakes, or an old-fashioned root beer float, a stop at Celine’s Sweets is sure to put a cherry on top of your day.

In addition to frozen treats, Celine’s offers old-time candies, bulk candy, chocolates, gifts, toys and novelties that will take you back to your childhood.

Celine’s Sweets is open Tuesday through Thursday from 12pm – 8 pm, Friday 12pm – 9pm, Saturday 11:30am – 9 pm and Sunday from 11:30pm – 6pm. Come and enjoy the old-fashioned kid-in-a-candy-store atmosphere this National Ice Cream Day.
