Get Set For a Fun Novato Easter Weekend

Easter Sunday is almost here, and with it, plenty of opportunities to enjoy candy treats, family brunches and easter egg hunts. Easter brunch is always busy so don’t forget to make your reservation in advance. A Novato brunch classic with sweeping Bay Area views, Hilltop 1892 puts “classic Easter brunch and dinner” on the menu. Other popular brunch options around town include Finnegan’s Marin, the Wildfox Restaurant, family-owned Grazie on Grant and the HopMonk Tavern.

Want to thrill the little ones with an Easter Bunny sighting? The Novato Mothers Club is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday the 20th from 10 till 12 at Hamilton Amphitheater Park. Don’t be late, as the busy Bunny is set to appear at 10:05 am sharp, and excited kids will be racing to pick up the coveted Easter bounty. Also scheduled to appear is a bubble entertainer, and once the hunt is over, the Easter Bunny will be available to pose for fun Easter photos.

Later in the day, the Hamilton Community Church of the Nazarene is having their own Easter Egg Hunt, promising lots of fun hunting eggs, singing songs and celebrating together. Join in the fun at 3pm. On Sunday, the Church is also hosting an early morning Easter Sunday Brunch at 8:30 am.

If you’re planning on your own backyard egg hunt, don’t forget to help the Easter Bunny out by picking up some hollow plastic eggs to hide around the yard — you can find them at stores like CVS and Lucky.

For non-candy egg fillings, pick up some stocking-stuffer style gifts from Five Little Monkeys. They have a great selection of small trinkets that kids will love. Dollhouses, Trains & More is another uniquely-Novato location for sourcing small toys to share as Easter treats.

Dying eggs is another fun Easter tradition for the kids. The Marin Mommies blog has a great article on creating your own homemade dyes. They also have some great tips on spring hikes, including two lovely Novato locations in their spring wildflower round-up, and an article putting the spotlight on the Fairway Waterfall.

Whether you’re brunching with loved ones or setting out on a lovely spring walk, your local Novato businesses wish you a very happy Easter!
