March 12th is National Plant a Flower Day, and with the lovely warm weather we’ve been seeing lately, there’s no better time to get out there and do a little gardening. Here are four local garden stores where you can pick up ready-to-plant flowers today:

1. Armstrong Garden Centers: Located at 1430 S. Novato Blvd., you can find annuals and perennials galore at Armstrong Garden Centers Novato. Open everyday from 9am-5pm, and 8-9am for seniors and vulnerable guests, you’ll find snapdragons, iceland poppies, and camelias to introduce a pop of color to your garden. You can even order online for curbside pickup or home delivery! For those looking to plant more than a flower or two, Armstrong Garden Centers also offers a variety of landscape services, from design, installation, and home garden consultations.

2. Sloat Garden Center: You’ll find expert staff ready to answer any and all questions at Sloat Garden Center Novato, open everyday from 8:30am-5:30pm at 2000 Novato Blvd. Ever heard of Cotton Candy Hummingbird Mint? How about Pixie Dark Fall Aster? You can find unique gems like these at Sloat, locally owned and grown since 1958! Curious if they have your favorite flower or plant in stock? 3. Greenpoint Nursery: Locally owned and operated in Marin County since 1979, Greenpoint Nursery offers friendly and knowledgeable service and top of line products! Wander the extensive grounds for beautiful vibrant flowers that will bring you joy year after year. Located at 275 Olive Avenue, Greenpoint Nursery is open Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm, and Saturday, 9am-3pm.

4. Pini Hardware: More than just your average hardware store, Pini Hardware has a range of garden and landscaping supplies too. Pick up ready-to-plant annuals and perennials, or flower seeds if you’d like to start your flower garden from scratch. Located at 1535 S. Novato Blvd Ste A, Pini is open Monday-Saturday, 8am-5:30pm, and on Sundays from 9am-5pm.
