The Shop Local Novato sweepstakes winner claimed his Novato shopping spree this week.
Charles Zanco (pictured left) was drawn as the winning entry and chose to spend his $750 Novato shopping spree cash at Leonardi Automotive on Redwood Blvd, Novato. Charles was thrilled with his surprise win, saying “I had a lot of fun looking at the large number of diverse and unique local businesses in Novato to choose where to spend the prize money. It feels great to be able to support a local shop.”
Leonardi Automotive is a family owned business that has been in operation since 1995. Owner Tony Leonardi (pictured right) was there to greet Charles and help him choose how to spend his prize money.
The sweepstakes ran as part of the city’s Shop Local Novato marketing campaign, and eligible California residents could enter by completing a form, liking ‘Shop Local Novato’ on Facebook or becoming a ‘Shop Local Novato’ Twitter follower. There were over a thousand entries into the sweepstakes between June 8th and June 30th.
